I just got a percolator, the kind of coffee maker where you put it on the stove like a kettle and the water goes up through the metal basket when it boils. I know you have to boil it for a few minutes but I forget exactly. I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning but it has to be strong enough to win in a fistfight.
We like our cappuccinos hot. So when I make them at home, I cheat and warm the milk in the coffee cup and then make the foam in the coffee cup before pouring the coffee through. It’s easy to make on an inexpensive home espresso machine like a Krups, Braun, or Mr. Coffee. Find out more at www.AnOregonCottage.com.

My mother bought me a coffee maker from Walmart 4 months ago for christmas. She didn’t keep the receipt but I did keep all the items and the original packing material (Box). The reason I need to return it is because it just quit on me today. The manual says it has a 1 year manufacturer warranty, so Walmart should at least honor that. Also, my mother bought it on credit card so she can use that for proof of purchase. All I want is a new (even the same) coffee maker.
I have read that roasted coffee has lost its antioxidants in the roasting process. How can I roast my beans so I can get the good flavor without losing the antioxidants, like Caffe Sanora and their Healthyroast process?
I just purchased my first drip coffee maker. A 5 cup black and decker. I bought a pack of Columbian coffee. I noticed that when I try to make coffee, my coffee isn’t like black…it’s like a dark brown. I add 2 1/2 scoops for one cup of coffee. Also it still has a watery taste. Like the coffee isn’t strong enough I guess. Also my coffee isn’t HOT…it’s drinkable right away. So basically if I left the coffee sitting there for 10 minutes it would be just lukewarm. Is that normal? Is the coffee supposed to be scalding hot when it comes out? And why isn’t it black!! It also has a bitter/burnt taste…not smooth like say even Mcdonalds coffee…and that’s not saying much…help!
