This steam-powered machine produces coffee not unlike that from a stovetop/moka espresso maker. More of a rich, strong cup of coffee than a traditional espresso extraction, this machine also has powerful steaming functionality, making it a great choice for cafe con leche/cafe au lait lovers out there. Watch Gail take us through its paces.
I want to buy a good quality expresso coffee maker for my boyfriend for Christmas. He likes the european style of coffee, very dark and strong coffee. It’s for use in home. What is the best user friendly reasonably priced brand?. Please tell me the pros and cons of what you have experienced. I live in Canada. Thank you.
Finally La Spaziale agreed to manufacture this beauty in a 220V version. Mine has just arrived yesterday and this is how my first day with my new VIVALDI II looks like….
Sunday mornings in winter the Junior Grendels always demand their due – a hot chocolate or cappuccino. This is not much of a chore and although I got the camera angles all wrong you can basically see how the Sunbeam 6910 manages a creditable ristretto and a smooth (although quite slow) job on the milk texturing. On average it takes around 4 minutes to make one coffee – and around 6 minutes to make 2 or 3 coffees – the milk steaming is the bottleneck in the production line as always!
