my parents have one from Tim Horton’s that is awesome. they are not cheap (150-160 Canadian) and they are like a mini version of an industrial coffee maker. just a little bigger than the usual home ones. it will brew a pot in about 3 minutes or less and the pot does not drip all over the place which is one of my pet peeves. they have had theirs for over 3 years and it works like new and they go through at least 3 pots per day.
Best one I’ve ever owned is the Capresso Coffee Team – it’s not cheap, but it’s an awesome machine. It would run you about $300 Canadian.
It has a conical burr grinder and will grind the beans before making the coffee. You don’t even need to measure the beans, it does that for you automatically.
If that’s too pricey, my next choice would be a Krups.
