How to start a small coffee shop?
I’m actually planning a cappuccino / coffee / panini sandwich & chocolate bar all together.
The location will be in Toronto "where I live right now" but I’m just wondering if it will be more expensive downtown where most famous buildings are beside or at least people will see the CN tower when they enter my shop.
Toronto may sound small when people are talking about the CNT because the tower is an extremely tall structure.

Toronto is a perfect place for a coffee shop. Even though there may be others, there is plenty of room for more in a fun metropolitan city like Toronto.
The first thing you need is a business plan. Without it you are setting up for failure. Both http://www.vanswiss.com and http://www.masterplans are good sources. This will help you get costs aligned.
Then pick your location that fits within the contstraints of your business plan.
Then approach a bank or investor for financing.
Its a lot of work, but a small coffee shop in toronto will payoff!!
Find a place where the commuters are as otherwiswe St.James park or Queens quay terminal which i prefer as it’s quite an ideal place to pick, rather to choose near downtown that is common sense the price is reasonably higher (unless u have enough prepared budget on it). In my opinion, people loves to see the water view either just to hanging around or to have a splendid time with a nice hot cup of cappuccino whilst enjoying the scenery and the fresh air. please note:. i have never been there, the idea come up after i look up a map of toronto. Find a spot is a good start, then u start thinking about its design interior, buying some utensil and gadget, spread some fliers to make it familiar. i hope those idea may help you. Good luck from Bandung-Indonesia!
