I want to make my own energy drinks, and I want to know how to extract caffeine from coffee beans or sugar cane, either one is fine. I want to know of a way I could do that and be able to put caffeine into a drink. Thank you.

I’ve got a bag of jamican blue coffee that I totally forgot about. The bag has never been opened and they are whole beans. The bag of coffee was pretty pricey, I’m just wondering how long coffee beans will stay good in a sealed plastic bag??
The bag is air tight and has never been opened. It’s about a year old though!

If one was trying to stay up late in order to do their homework, would simply swallowing coffee beans like pills suffice? What sort of damage (if any) to the digestive system would this do?

When you buy a cup of coffee at a store or at a gas station, what do they put in the coffee besides coffee beans and water? For example, I have heard that they put preservatives in coffee sometimes. Can coffee contain any vegetable oil products (such as mono-and-diglycerides?) When I eat things with vegetable oil I am convinced I have an adverse reaction, which I think I can get to a slighter degree from drinking coffee, which is why I asked. I am convinved vegetable oil is very unhealthy.
It disgusts me that I have to ask this question.

Through similar processes could someone use coffee beans to make a tasty hard coffee bar, like a chocolate bar? Could someone roast and grind and brew coco beans into a not overly bitter hot drink similar to coffee?

I have some coffee beans, but no grinder. What’s the best way to make coffee with just beans. At best I can probably smash them up a bit by hand. To make the coffee I can boil water on the stovetop, but I don’t have an fancy coffeemakers either.
As you’re wondering: no, I didn’t buy the beans myself. No, I don’t have a blender or other fancy kitchen devices, and I don’t want to buy any for the sake of a handful of free coffee beans.

I want to buy someone some coffee beans and i am not a coffee drinker. How much do I need to buy? I want to buy them a couple flavors so i figure I need just enough to make one pot of coffee.

I just got a new espresso machine — but I have no espresso. Would it be at all feasible to use coffee beans to brew espresso, or is this useless? What’s the difference? If I end up using coffee beans, should I be using a light, medium, or dark roast?

I know that ground beans should be consumed within two weeks of purchase but what about roasted coffee beans, how long can i keep them before they turn crap?
I don’t want storage tips, i want to know how long they will last.
