Jonathan will show you how to make espresso using a Moka and foam/froth (schiuma) for cappuccinos using a “schiuma maker” (montalatte). Trudy and Layla are very demanding when it comes to the foam. The punishment for making “bad schiuma” is severe and the reward for getting it right is heavenly bliss. You get to choose! Im trying to figure out how to use this small, pump-style espresso maker… it runs fine, but after about 4 sec. the espresso comes out thin & watery… why are there 2 sizes of the insert cup thingy that holds the grounds? how/when do i use the steam tube? can i make a cappuccino?

So my grandma gave me her espresso maker but I really do not like espresso. It is too strong for me. I make regular coffee twice a day but my coffee maker broke. Now that I was given this espresso maker, can I use regular coffee in it or should I just buy a new coffee maker?

Is it possible to make espresso without these things? I only have a generic coffee maker and a stove. How would I create espresso then? How much is a decent perculator and espresso maker if I do need them? Please list store prices not online. I only shop in stores. Thanks guys! =)

I am looking into purchasing an espresso maker for the first time. I dont really know how to work one yet, but I love the taste of espresso, cappuchinos, etc. I am just getting out of college so I dont have a lot of money to spend. I have been looking in the under 0 range, but most of the ones in this range have really bad reviews. I have no idea where to start, so I could use some suggestions.

Espresso machine for my gf – Thoughts?

I am buying an espresso maker for my gf for christmas. I was caught between two of these:

I got this espresso machine yesterday:

But I’m thinking of returning it and buying this one:

I have Delonghi espresso maker(automatic) 3400, but it is not useful for making latte art although I like its espresso shots and Americanos. It seems like the steam is too weak to make latte art.
What would be a better espresso machine to make latte art?
Although I found Saeco fit for latte art, the one I tried was a commercial one, and I am looking for home machine. I prefer Delonghi just because I have used it, but it doesnt have to be.
please help!

We just bought an espresso maker and don’t know what kind of beans to buy

I’m pretty good with my tamping and timing, but since retiring from being a barista at a small coffeehouse, I miss the espresso. After looking around I have been fairly disappointed with the junk espresso machines that are being pushed right now.

What I’m looking for is an espresso maker that does not auto-tamp, has a hot waterspout, a steam wand, manual steam control (for the group head), and a hefty portafilter.

Where can I find such one that is not junk?
