What's the difference between espresso beans & coffee beans?

Can I espresso-grind some good strong coffee beans, or do I need to buy espresso beans?

All espresso beans are coffee beans but not all coffee beans are espresso beans. You can use any roast you want in an espresso machine, but the best flavor will come from actual espresso beans which are roasted pretty dark. This brings out the sweet caramely rich taste. If you’re worried that you’ll only be able to use it in an espresso machine, I think espresso roast brews up to be a really great cup of coffee. It is smooth and balanced.
